Allons Travel — Time for me

Getting sick isn’t any fun. Multiply that by two. Yup, that’s right, I have been sick twice in the last couple of months. As my doctor said, my body is definitely telling me something.

While working from home is great—it has its definite drawbacks. The biggest one in my case is access to a well stocked refrigerator and pantry. Although, I am not really overweight I need to lose some weight like we all do. I need to quit making trips downstairs and raiding the refrigerator when I am frustrated. I need to stop eating at my desk.  I need to get out and exercise and quit making excuses. Starting November 1st I have pledged to be healthier. Eat healthier, exercise and manage the frustrations of running my own business. From now on its fruits and veggies—no more chips and dip.

I started meditating which is interesting. I haven’t really gotten the hang of it—but I actually felt better when I did it the first couple of times.  Talking things through with another agent,  having a mentor and hanging out at my virtual water cooler (TRO forums) is another great way to deal with stress. I am making plans to get out of the office and take some time off and do some FAMS in the near future.

What about Allons Travel you ask? Things are going well. I had my business cards re-designed. My website is also being redone. I am out there networking and becoming more proficient with social media.  I have started charging fees and sticking to them. Business is picking up. My marketing seems to be working and things are definitely on the upswing.

I am looking forward to the coming months. Hopefully, with my healthier lifestyle it will keep give me both the mental and physical edge I need to be successful.
