Tropical Travelers — Adieu

Yes, 2010 is finally finding down. But, I’m already looking forward to business happenings for 2011. It’s been a rewarding year, business wise and I really want to keep the ball rolling in the right direction. As I previously mentioned in my last column, I’ve been doing a lot of travel throughout the tropics over the past few months. From Mexico to Turks and Caicos, Punta Cana and back to Mexico again. I’m discovering quite a few new products that I’ve been very excited to share with my clients.

In addition to my travels, I’ve been spending a great deal of time upgrading my website and its content. Blogging and social media seem to be de rigueur these days, so I’m making an attempt to attend social media events to more fully understand the impact this could have on my potential clients. Many of my clients are honeymooners in their 20s and 30s and social media is a way of life for this age demographic. I’ve been getting good feedback from my clients who follow me on Twitter and Facebook and feel that this is a great direction to be heading in 2011.

I’ve been working quite a bit with Tripology over the past month and have been quite successful with my leads. This is another very important part of my business plan. The leads I’ve obtained from Tripology have certainly been quite lucrative. I’m currently working with several agents (some new to the business, some new to this type of service) to teach them how to make this service work better for them. I do believe Tripology can be a wonderful way to find niche leads around the country.

As for travels, I’m planning more trips to Mexico and Turks and Caicos for 2011.  These are two places that are very dear to me and I send many clients to these locations throughout the year. I like to stay current on the trends and make it my business to personally visit the locations I sell. This is the main reason my clients remain loyal. They know I will give them all the information they need in order to narrow down the plethora of options to that one special place. I’ve actually had three clients tell me this week that they trust me implicitly, as I’ve never steered them wrong. This makes everything worth it in my mind. At the end of the day, I just want to send my clients off to relax and put their feet in the sand.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed sharing my travel tales with you this year and hope to continue on with TRO in some capacity in 2011. I hope my stories were interesting to you and possibly helped your give you focus in your own job. Feel free to contact me anytime with questions regarding this amazing industry!

I bid you adieu!
