On July 17, 1980, All About Travel, Inc. opened its doors in Beaverton, Oregon. Established by Gerry Mayes as a corporate and leisure travel company, Gerry soon recognized that the Portland region was not adequately represented and a need existed for tour operators located in the Northwest to serve the travelers from Oregon and Washington. Buddy Mayes, with 25 years of airline experience, 15 of those in the Northwest working with local agents, understood the needs of the area and met the challenge of negotiating airline contracts, putting together land packages, and successfully filling an industry void. Their endeavors have proved an overwhelming success.
32 YEARS OF SUSTAINED SUCESS:
All About Travel, Inc. introduced All About Hawaii with Northwest Airlines as its first Transpacific partner in 1982. Continued growth followed with the addition of All About Tours. The success of the Reno and Lake Tahoe programs allowed for the additions of Las Vegas and Southern California including Disneyland. All About South Pacific was eventually formed with service to Sydney and Australia with future expansion to New Zealand and then Fiji.
Today All About Hawaii offers four transpacific carriers to Hawaii: Alaska, Delta, Hawaiian and United Airlines. Published fares are available on all airlines to the Islands. All About features over 200 hotel, condominium and resort properties from the brands you know and trust from luxury to budget. Alamo and National rental cars and Aloha VIP Tours are available transportation options. A variety of activities and golf are also an important part to offer the complete vacation package. Destinations at present include Hawaii, South Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti and Tonga) and California (Anaheim, Los Angeles and San Diego).
All About Hawaii provides the most comprehensive reservation system, technologies with suppliers and customer service and reservation staff communication techniques available in the industry.
What began as the dream of two spirited individuals is now a team of over 150 employees in five states, backed by a network of suppliers spanning the American west, Hawaii and the South Pacific.
Expansion of 4,000 square feet of new office space was completed in December of 1998 making way for the additional of new reservation personnel.
