Live From Miami Beach, The World’s Largest Cruise Gathering

This week, I, and 10,000 others, are in Miami Beach attending Cruise Shipping Miami (there are also 100,000 or more spring breakers at Miami Beach’s doorstep, but that’s another story).

We’re all here to create better cruise experiences for cruise travelers. My plan is to seek out what’s coming down the pike that can improve your cruise experience and relay that via my social media channels, InstagramFacebook (friend me!) and Twitter. I’ll also be reporting, as time allows during this busy week, on avidcruiser.com.

Nearly 1,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries will be here courting the cruise lines. Destinations will put their best foot forward to show cruise industry itinerary planners what they can offer cruise passengers. Food and wine vendors will provide samples of items they’d like to see on cruise ships. Cruise execs will tell us what’s ahead during the State of the Industry and in workshops and break-out sessions. The events run Monday through Thursday.

For those of you here with me in Miami, network, learn a lot and have some fun. For those of you at home, get ready for a better cruise coming your way soon.
