I have a question for you. Are you having fun at work? You should be. And if you are not having fun while working in the travel business, you might be wasting a lot of time and effort.

I noticed many years ago that many adults (most) feel that once they leave their teen years, they have to become serious in a world that calls for seriousness. I don’t much care if the adult took the collegiate route or not, once they become so-called adults they slip into what I call a “boring state of mind.”

In today’s passage we are reminded that humor plays a large role in our professional development. In fact, Tom Peters refers to it as a business tool.

I endorse Tom’s sound bite here and “raise” him a bite: I want you to bring your true personality to the marketplace and let the chips fall where they may.

You have to learn to go with the flow and bring yourself to the “show.” Be yourself. Have fun. Spread the love.
