Similar to the fate of the banking industry, most practitioners in travel provide pretty much the same service. Everybody feels that they know what a travel agent is, and they believe they know what a travel agent does. This is where the challenge begins. This is where a huge opportunity presents itself.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Speed wins. The faster you answer the phone, emails, text messages, request to meet, and any other marketing communication you can think of, the better off you’re going to be.
If in fact you can make working with you easy, hassle-free, and with a minimum of stress or anxiety, the more prospects you are about to attract.
If you can toss in genuine friendliness to the above formula, you’ll be performing a happy dance down to your local bank in the very near future.
Working with people may be challenging at times, but it is not rocket science. Most of us are just looking for a quick and reliable response coupled with a little personality and charisma. My question to you is simple: Are you up to the task?
