How Successful People Think: Possibility Thinking Accomplishes the Impossible

“People who embrace possibility thinking are capable of accomplishing tasks that seem impossible because they believe in solutions.”

How Successful People Think by John C. Maxwell, page 60

That’s not possible. That has never been done before. We don’t do it that way. The risk is too big. The return is too small. We are not talented enough. We are not smart enough. We don’t have enough money to pull this off.

It’s a good thing the Wright brothers didn’t think like this. It’s a good thing that Charles Lindberg didn’t think like this. It’s especially good that Columbus didn’t think like this.

Here is some good news: in the travel business, you don’t have to buy anything. The products are already well-established with an eager marketplace ready to get out of town. You can be as big and as successful as you make up your mind to be. Said slightly differently, your future is in your hands. You are in the driver’s seat.

The sooner you manage to adopt “possibility thinking” and shed your fear of rejection and/or disappointment, the sooner you’ll be saying to yourself, “why did I take so long to do this?”

I suppose the proper recommendation is to suggest that you start thinking bigger. This won’t happen until you firmly believe that you are in business to help people, and you don’t care if people endorse your agenda or not. You have things to do, and goals to achieve. It is your business. What you choose to do with it is entirely up to you. The infrastructure is set and established. All you have to do is to select your niche, target your audience, communicate with them on a regular basis, and begin enjoying the fruits of your labor.

Once you manage to do this, your business will take care of itself.
