Costa Rica announced the reopening of its border to visitors from all the U.S. states starting on November 1st.
The country began the first phase of its reopening on August 1st after almost 5 months of closure due to the pandemic. Since that day, Costa Rica opened its airports, the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), and Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR), to citizens from Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

Costa Rica announced on October 2nd, 2020 that all residents from all the states of the United States will be authorized to visit Costa Rica starting on November 1st.
In an effort to reactivate the country’s economy and maintain a controlled risk of infections due to COVID-19, Costa Rica has established new entry requirements to ensure that visitors are and feel safe.

John started his travel career with OAG Travel Magazines in 1989, working in marketing and sales with their highly successful TravelAge Trade Shows. He phased into also selling TV sponsorships and advertising for The World of Travel, which aired at major travel conferences worldwide.
John co-founded the trade show division at Travel Agent magazine, as well as writing a bi-monthly column called Trade Show Insider. After which he pioneered “Video Streaming” for that travel industry with MediaOnDemand.com. His next stop, was developing the travel vertical with a newly created position for Corporate Trading at ICON International, a division of Omnicom.
Returning to travel publishing as Vice President/Executive Publisher of Travel Trade Publications, he expanded its trade show operations.
The travel industry has seen unprecedented changes in the last couple of weeks. A pandemic we did not expect, nor were prepared for, has the industry holding its breath. But this doesn’t mean the industry has to halt altogether.
