Never Give In – Or Up!

In honor of Sir Winston Churchill (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965) let’s take a simple lesson from one of his most famous speeches:

Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense…

Too many business people give in while their competitor is willing to try one more time. It is a well-known fact that it usually takes five or more contacts with a potential client before that client will utilize your services. Yet, many quit after the first contact, fearing that to persist in their sales efforts risks the relationship. If you believe in the value of your travel consulting services, then you are doing all of the potential clients in the world a favor by continuing your efforts to render them a service. Gently persist in your efforts to recruit new clients. Go the extra mile, remind them one more time of your passion. Never give in.
