I was born in Marcona, Peru, in a mining camp where my dad, a Wyoming native and ex-Navy warrior, met my mother, a mild mannered, flower loving, ex-middle school teacher (talk about opposites attract,!). As a family of three we moved to Venezuela when I was 6 and set roots there for 20 years. My dad traveled the world as a Mining Consultant and my mom was a Travel Agent, and together we had our share of amazing adventures. No surprise I chose travel and tourism as my career! My professional career started right after high school working for American Airlines, going to college and getting my Travel and Tourism Management degree. I bring about 20 years of experience to Europe Express, combing the back-end knowledge of a world class GDS, Amadeus and the front-end experience in Sales from Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Line.
Established in 1990, Europe Express specializes in providing high-quality, affordable travel to Europe. We create customized itineraries at competitive prices for all of your needs including air, hotel/villa, rail and car rental, sightseeing and pre/post cruise packages. With over two decades of experience, offices in Europe and a knowledgeable reservations team that has experienced the destinations first-hand, you are assured to have an outstanding experience every time you work with us. By streamlining all facets of an international vacation, travel agents working with us can complete a booking quickly and easily. We have managed over 6,000 custom group trips so we understand the complexity associated with group travel as well as the need for quick turnarounds. Our groups department specializes in multi-city and multi-country trips for 10-600 people and will help build an itinerary to fit any budget while organizing all signup deadlines, travel documents and payments. Our company goal is to provide competitive pricing, fast and efficient service, and a profitable return for travel agents.
Today as Europe Express’ East Coast Sales Manager, I’m seeking to increase my reach, looking to solidify and expand my company’s vision, to be the leading wholesaler in the European custom group & FIT leisure market. I am responsible for sales in every state that touches the Atlantic Ocean, including PA and VT. The way I approach my territory is by creating a positive vibe of my company through excellent service, education, and consistent communication. I have daily interaction with our travel partners, in-person, at events, over the phone, email and social media. For me, maintaining a constant flow of information via social media has proven to be incredibly favorable in keeping and securing new business relationships. The flow of information provided via this channel to my territory and beyond is priceless; in a way, it feels like I am there, in-person, to support them. I am also on the road typically 2 weeks out of the month. The road opens up so many opportunities and it’s the best way to get to know and educate my travel partners, plus there’s always a good story to share and plenty of good times, laughs and smiles included. I schedule agency visits months in advance, but that does not limit the amount of visits I may have in a particular city, there’s always time to stop and say hi! I like to build and maintain relationships; I am not in the business of simply collecting contacts. I value the relationships that I build and with a little bit of communication and training we can continue to build a profitable future for our brand and the travel trade. Increasing awareness of such a great company comes natural to me: they say if you love what you do, you don’t have to work a day in your life.
My favorite travel destinations in Europe are Southern Spain and the Algarve Coast in Portugal, the best seafood I’ve had in my life! So good! Outside of work, I spend much of my free time at home in Pembroke Pines, Florida with my son, Diego, playing and watching sports, listening to music and strumming along.
