Fravel Travel was founded by Katie Fravel in 2013, who spent years in the travel industry specializing in Ireland. The next clear step for Ms. Fravel was to build her own company, providing custom itineraries to Ireland. In 2014, she added Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island to the list of itineraries provided by Fravel Travel. While at first glance these destinations may not seem to have a lot in common, each of these destinations are known for their gorgeous natural scenery and outdoor activities. Fravel Travel has always catered to travel agents and will continue to do so, offering the option for net rates or for agents to name their commission to be built into the rate.
We will handle your ground arrangements such as hotels, driver guide service, or rental cars and additional activities.
Fravel Travel handles accommodations, car rentals or driver guides, and additional activities. The accommodation options we use are a wide range of properties including hotels, resorts, manor homes, country houses, and castles. We will match the property to your client based on their interests and budget. We choose hotels based on a simply philosophy – we book places that we would stay ourselves.
Whether your client is an adventurous self-driving explorer or prefers a private driver guide to lead them around, Fravel Travel can arrange their transportation. In regards to activities, we can recommend options for your client based on their interests and can arrange golf, horseback riding, kayaking, falconry, photography sessions, fishing, luxury shopping trips, wine tastings, and many more. Are they looking for something extraordinary? Just let us know and we can set up private dinners, an Irish coffee making lesson, and more.
All three destinations we work with have world class golf courses. Whether you are looking for a trip packed with play or just a leisurely round to be worked into your vacation, we can assist with tee times. With every personalized itinerary we create, we include restaurant recommendations and can advise on those restaurants that should be booked in advance. Let us make your dinner reservations, and we can also advise restaurants or hotels of any dietary needs.
Booking with us is easy as well: we take a deposit at time of booking, and the balance is due 60 days prior to travel. For payment, we send a password-protected web link for you to complete payment on your client’s behalf. We aim to keep this part of the process both simple and secure: your client’s credit card info is not held in our system and is never seen by any employee at Fravel Travel.
What’s not to love about Ireland? With a rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning scenery it’s the type of place that truly has something for everyone. Most travelers go for at least a week or longer, and you can make multiple trips, and still have new experiences. Ireland offers plenty of sightseeing and activities, and it can be easy to get carried away when planning your trip. Leave in some free time to enjoy an Irish coffee by a fireplace burning peat – you won’t regret it.
This small island is a part of Maritime Canada, and is a great place to get away and relax. For Americans traveling, it’s an easy trip and with a favorable exchange rate, it also offers great value. Nova Scotia is the perfect place to really unwind and enjoy nature. It has fantastic hiking, water based activities, and golf. Work in time to spend on Cape Breton, which is arguably the most scenic part of Nova Scotia.
Prince Edward Island
PEI goes hand in hand with Nova Scotia. You can easily combine the two via driving or ferry. Here you’ll find great golfing, rural farmland, and lovely beaches. The shallow water here means it gets warmer than you would imagine, up to 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer. The island is quite small, so it’s simple to pick one place to stay and use as a base for exploration.
