“If you want to make it in this business, you need to treat it like a business.”

Said another way, it may be time to stop treating your business like you would a hobby. If recommending, selling, and managing travel itineraries results in you eating regularly or not, then it is time to recognize this activity as your meal ticket.
Sales, marketing, customer service, accounting, promotion, public relations, income, expenses, profit and loss, and balance sheets are daily, weekly, and monthly concerns. I dare to say these were not the batch of reasons you decided to start your own travel business. I am betting it was because “you loved travel” and you felt passionate about it. The words “payables” and “receivables” were not on your radar screen.
Hobbies are activities you partake in when you feel like it. Your business calls for your attention when it is time and has very little to do with how you feel. I am sorry to be the purveyor of bad news if that is what this is. Business means business.
If you are the boss, start thinking like the boss. Start acting like the boss. Start doing what bosses do. This is your business and you have two choices. If I were you, my choice would have everything to do with the intention of staying in business.
The only way to do this is to manage your daily activities to make sure your income exceeds your expenses over the long haul.
