Revolutionizing a Fleet

Not long after the Celebrity Solstice was launched, Celebrity Cruises launched a program to “solsticize” the rest of the fleet. This effort blended the best of the Solstice Class ships with the best aspects of the Millennium Class ships. Staterooms were updated, public areas were enhanced, and additional dining options were added. Over a few years the fleet was brought up to the new standards introduced with the Solstice Class ships.

Fast forward, and Celebrity Cruises is doing it all over again. This time around they a rereferring to this re-imagining of the fleet as The Celebrity Revolution. It starts with the introduction of the two newest ships, Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Flora. Over the next five  years, the existing fleet will be “taken to the edge” with a $500 million overhaul. Eventually all of the ships will see the addition of the Reflection Suite and Signature Suites, currently found only on the Celebrity Reflection. Starting with the Celebrity Edge “an exclusive new sanctuary for all Suite Class guests called The Retreat” will be introduced. As the rest of the fleet is revolutionized every ship will offer The Retreat Sundeck and The Retreat Lounge (formerly Michael’s Club). Once the fleet-wide revitalization is completed, “the entire fleet will have the same quality, design essence, and consistency of modern luxury.”

Dining upgrades are also included in the plans. Qsine, a guest favorite, will be added fleet-wide and will be completely renovated in the process. Also, the Oceanview Cafe will be upgraded with a new design offering an array of international delicacies. The main dining rooms will also undergo a complete redesign as well.

Additional upgrades will include enhancements to the thermal suite in the spa, new shopping experiences, state of the art photo galleries, elevated bars and lounges, as well as other public areas such as Team Earth and The Library.

The first ship to undergo this transformation will be the Celebrity Millennium in 2019, with the final revitalization taking place in 2023. Your clients will undoubtedly be spoiled once they experience the new enhancements of the fleet.
