Self-Appreciation

I am sure you have already figured out today’s message.

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

The travel industry does not corner the market on this truism as we all know that plenty of “stuff” happens in our business. Much of which can be filed in the “Why Me?” folder.

Some situations can be down-right devastating, while others just slide off your back. Some predicaments sting, while others make you laugh and scratch your head in pure amazement.

“You must understand that your journey through life is special. The twists and turns and detours have made you what you are today.” David McNally

Nobody ever said that life will be a fair and equitable experience. Nobody ever said that your business would be hassle-free. In fact, that is precisely why you are in business… to help your clients over, through and around the rough spots. You are in business to circumnavigate client roadblocks and to dip under the low-hanging limbs.

Nobody is better at this than you are. Remember, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

If booking detailed travel itineraries was easy, there would be no need for you, your contacts, your experience, or your professionalism. You did not get this far in life by accident. You serve a purpose and although it may not be for everybody, it surely is for a handful of people who recognize your value.

Who you are today is the sum total of everything you have experienced along the way. You have been paying your dues and you will continue to hone your craft while making the life of your clients more comfortable.

Hang in there when things get rough. You are good. You are real good. Now go out there and do your thing.
