Focus On The Little Things

Customer Service Wisdom #3:

You don’t need theatrics to impress me. What grabs my attention are small courtesies that clearly indicate that I am important to you.

I am not suggesting that you need to come up with some grandiose scheme. Perform small courtesies daily. That is all it takes. Let me know that you care.

You can begin by calling me back when I leave a voice message. (Little thing.)

You can start your email to me by using my first name that clearly indicates in your email that you are talking to me. (Little thing.)

You can thank me for contributing to the success of your business if, indeed, that is the case. (Little thing.)

You can look me in the eye when you are speaking with me and ask me more questions about what I think. (Little thing.)

It is the little things that people will notice. Little things ARE the big things. Focus on the little things.
