Good Communication

There are three fundamentals that are required for good communication.

First, you must have an audience.

Next, you must manage to capture the audience’s attention.

Third, you must have something to say that improves upon the silence.

Since this is Christmas Eve, I question if I indeed have an audience today.

For the last few hundred years, Christmas Eve has been a day to wind down without having to have an excuse. As for grabbing attention, I wonder if this would be like “spitting into the wind, pulling the mask off of the Lone Ranger or pulling on Superman’s cape”. As Jim Croce once reminded, “Some things you just don’t want to do.” Number three involves improving upon the silence.

And I know of just one way I can pull this off… and it consists of just two words. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
