Poland Announces Online Guide for Meeting Planners

While the numbers of people suffering the worst of COVID-19 have dramatically decreased, much of the world is still cautious about travel in the near future. Poland is no different and, as mentioned in a previous article about their #CityWillWait and #PolandWilllWait campaign, it has created the first issue of Poland: Online Site Inspection – created to keep the Travel Industry updated on spaces for meeting and event planners.

The Poland: Online Site Inspection allows organizers and planners to interactively explore the many meeting spaces of Poland. This in-depth look at the conference and event facilities highlights their willingness to wait while the lockdown situation continues… for now. Supported by the Poland Convention Bureau, a part of the Polish Tourism Organization, this project aims to show the state-of-the-art hotels, numerous conference and exhibition centres, unique venues, first-rate transportation infrastructure, as well as organizations and companies ready to provide professional services aimed at business meetings of all size groups.

“Our meetings guide is an introduction to the conference and events potential of Poland. It contains information about the best and most highly recommended venues and service providers operating in Poland. In addition, we would also like to encourage all meeting planners to contact the regional and city convention bureaux – local experts who are happy to help with any MICE-related request.”  – Robert Andrzejczyk, President of the Polish Tourism Organization

The current situation has not only greatly restricted travel, but also forced more than a few event and meeting planners to postpone or move to virtual spaces. Though these virtual spaces can be a temporary solution to the issue of social distancing, there is more to an event than simply the words being spoken. Meetings and events that bring in people from all over the chosen industry are a chance to make eye contact, to experience the reality of a person’s character – an important moment when discussing business with someone. It is a good bet that this kind of face-to-face experience will be highly sought-after when the world opens back up, and Poland will be ready to host the international community in all of their event and meeting needs with enthusiasm and a warm welcome.
