Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow

I am not wearing my “feel-good” hat today and trying to make the world a better place by simply putting lipstick on a pig. We are all facing the most challenging times of our lives. Make no mistake about it. We have been, and will continue to be, in for some rough sledding.

But that being said, this is the hand we have been dealt. Our only recourse is to play our cards accordingly.

It comes as no surprise to see some people walking around looking as if they have just lost their best friend. (Mask or no mask.) These people are communicating to the world that life is, and will continue to be, an unfair experience. Daily existence is a total drag while life offers nothing in return for their “showing up.” If you know one or more of this type of individual (and I’m betting that you do), let me remind you that trying to improve the future of anyone engaged in an exercise in self-pity is often an exercise in futility. You just aren’t that good or talented.

Don’t think for a moment that it is your responsibility to get these people singing happy songs. (It ain’t gunna happen.) Your job is to get your thinking straight, in step, and clearly looking forward – so that you can significantly contribute to those anticipating a positive future.

Here is today’s phrase that pays:

You can’t change the world… but you can change your world.

Your job is to energize you, while making certain that you don’t get confused for the walking dead. Once you take care of you, your actions will do the rest. People are attracted to those who are alive, energetic, and happy – who have ideas and exciting notions about life – who have kind things to say about others.

I love the Fleetwood Mac song phrase that says, “Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow. Don’t stop, it will soon be here. It will soon be here… better than before.”

So if you truly want to become the exception, pick a game… any game… and then get into the game. Become a positive player. And never stop thinking about tomorrow.

And what better time to start showcasing your new and attractive attitude than right now. TODAY.
