Peek Inside Silversea’s Newest Ship, Silver Moon

After taking delivery of the new ship from Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy, on Friday October 30, 2020, Silversea Cruises unveils the first glimpses of Silver Moon’s interiors – the ninth ship in the cruise line’s fleet. Barbara Muckermann, Silversea’s Chief Marketing Officer, hosts a series of five virtual ship tours, in which viewers are guided through Silver Moon’s new S.A.L.T. venues, public spaces, restaurants, and suites.

INTRODUCTION

S.A.L.T. Venues

Debuting aboard Silver Moon is the new culinary enrichment program S.A.L.T., an acronym of Sea and Land Taste, which will enable guests to travel deeper through a range of destination-focused gastronomic experiences both on-board and ashore. As part of the S.A.L.T. program, three new venues will unlock culinary experiences for guests, forming a hub of culinary discovery on Deck 4: among the largest of eight restaurants aboard Silver Moon, S.A.L.T. Kitchen is the first large-scale regional restaurant aboard a luxury cruise ship, offering a menu that changes with the destination and a regionally inspired wine list; S.A.L.T. Lab is a test kitchen that enables guests to learn about local ingredients and artisanal techniques, through workshops, tastings, and demonstrations; and S.A.L.T. Bar allows guests to sample the flavors of the destination through a large selection of regional wines, spirits, and other drinks.

PUBLIC SPACES

Silver Moon takes influence from the design of her sister ship, Silver Muse, and maintains small-ship intimacy and all-suite accommodations. At the same time, a number of public spaces have been reimagined for the enjoyment of guests: the Dolce Vita lounge, the Connoisseur’s Corner, the Pool Deck, and the Spa and Fitness Centre have each undergone redesigns.

SUITES

Silver Moon accommodates 596 guests in 298 suites – 96 percent of which include a balcony. Guests in every suite will enjoy the dedicated service of a butler, as well as an in-suite bar, stocked with preferred beverages; in-suite dining, available 24 hours per day; and various other amenities.

RESTAURANTS

Aboard Silver Moon, travelers will enjoy the use of eight restaurants – each with a distinct concept. On Deck 4, restaurants Atlantide and Kaiseki have each undergone redesigns when compared to Silver Muse. Aboard Silver Moon, Atlantide has been enlarged to accommodate up to 220 guests. Minimalist yet sophisticated, the enhanced design of Kaiseki will take inspiration from Asian restaurants around the world. Here, guests will witness expert sushi chefs in action, as they prepare fresh sushi and sashimi, and other Asian dishes. Serving French cuisine, Silversea’s signature restaurant, La Dame, will also enjoy a brand new design aboard Silver Moon, enlarged to accommodate 56 guests. Positioned on Deck 8, from which guests can enjoy far-reaching views out to sea, La Dame also offers guests the opportunity to dine under the stars on Silver Moon. Silversea’s guests will also enjoy fine cuisine in La Terrazza, Silver Note, The Grill, Spaccanapoli, and S.A.L.T. Kitchen.
