Focus On France & Beyond

This week, Britton is gearing up for her Rhine river cruise on Riviera’s Geoffrey Chaucer. That means arranging for pet-sitters, shopping for new clothes (of course), and finalizing the logistics of her trip. She’s become quite the traveler, something that she began training for early on in life. In fact, she was only approaching her first birthday when she crossed the Atlantic on the venerable Queen Elizabeth 2, the first of many cruises for the now 27-year-old.

She’ll be posting updates from her Rhine adventures on Instagram – follow her updates @avidcruiserbritton – and here on River Cruise Advisor.

If she enjoys her cruise, she won’t be alone. In the past weeks, we’ve received numerous comments and feedback from readers who have river cruised this fall. “Made in home last night,” commented reader Fred. “Our trip was perfect!” He seems to sum up the feelings of all river cruisers lately. “We watched the river [water] levels and decided to go,” reader T.J. wrote in an email to us. “Good decision. Cruising down the River River Gorge as I write this.”

We also heard from AmaWaterways last week, with news that the company is unveiling its 2024 France sailings. We were particularly intrigued by Ama’s new Flavors of Burgundy, a seven-night cruise between Dijon and Lyon, two of the prettiest cities in France in our opinion.

Speaking of Burgundy, my back-to-back barge trips, which center on Dijon, are nearly sold out. If you’re interested in joining me next April, please reach out to me by replying to this email or by adding your name to our email list here.

If you’re traveling solo, be sure to check out Riviera River Cruises Receives Magellan Awards for Solo Traveler Offerings. The company just snatched up Travel Weekly’s Best Solo River Cruise Line award. No surprise to us.

Wishing you all a wonderful week, and please let us hear from you. If you have questions about Riviera for Britton, simply reply to this email and be sure to follow her adventures @avidcruiserbritton.
