Scenic Offers Details of Eclipse II Maiden Voyage in 2023

Scenic Eclipse cruise ship

The new Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours discovery yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, will debut with an 11-day maiden voyage from Lisbon to Barcelona departing April 13, 2023.

The company has released some new details, noting that its spa will add aromatherapy, an integrated ice fountain, and “experience showers” – a energetic shower with water at varying temperatures and intensities.

Building on the popularity of the KLAFS infrared chairs on the original Scenic Eclipse, Eclipse II will have a KLAFS custom salt therapy lounge with heated beds, as well as an expanded dedicated infrared “ocean view” lounge with color light therapy.

For those who find relaxation in other ways, Deck 10 will offer a new bar area with indoor and outdoor seating, ocean views, and a large pool.

After the maiden voyage, the ship will sail a 15-day Antarctic cruise roundtrip from Ushaia, Argentina; a nine-day Scottish Isles cruise; and 11-day Australia, 13-day Tahiti to Fiji, 9-day Caribbean, and 12-day Arctic Circle itineraries.

Earlybird offers on many sailings offer savings of up to 20%.

Scenic’s US Sales VP Ann Chamberlin told TRO that travel advisors are a key cog in the marketing of the new ships. Scenic recently hosted its top travel advisors to tour the Scenic Eclipse in Seattle, San Francisco, and San Diego prior to her season in Antarctica and loved it, she said; “when the Eclipse II comes out this spring, I have no doubt we will receive the same positive accolades. Our experienced team of Regional Sales Directors is available to help travel advisors learn about all the amenities and inclusions the Eclipse II has to offer.”

Scenic is ready to assist “serious luxury travel sellers” through strategic marketing planning to help them position Eclipse II to their high-end clients,” she said; feel free to contact sales.support@scenicusa.com

Introduced in 2019, the Scenic Eclipse, like the new Eclipse II, holds 228 guests (200 in Polar regions) with almost a 1:1 staff-to-guest ratio. There is private butler service and 10 dining options, and all-inclusive pricing that covers transfers, fine dining, premium branded beverages, gratuities, and excursions.

Scenic in August rolled out an Advance Commission Program that pays travel advisors commission 21 days after guests make full payments on bookings with departures at least six months away. It also brought in Claudius Docekal, a former vice president at Crystal, and Bert Goebel, who has worked at Oceania, Regent, and Aida, to help develop its vision for its ocean ships.
