Carnival Elation returns to Jaxport with new red, white and blue hull design

Carnival Elation cruise ship

A rejuvenated Carnival Elation departed its home port of Jacksonville this weekend, sporting a colorful facelift and other enhancements after its dry dock.

Elation now sports the red, white, and blue hull design that has been rolling out across the fleet since Mardi Gras debuted in 2021, as well as a redesigned Cloud 9 Spa, complete with new steam and sauna rooms.

The 2,200-guest Carnival Elation, the oldest ship in the Carnival fleet, will sail year-round from Jacksonville on four- and five-day cruises to The Bahamas, including stops in Nassau and Princess Cays.

With Carnival Elation finished, Carnival Cruise Line last week announced that Carnival Glory will be sailing into dry dock from March 24 through April 28, 2024. That will impact six cruises scheduled to sail out of New Orleans on seven-night itineraries to the Caribbean. After the dry dock, Carnival Glory is now also scheduled to sail short itineraries (three and four nights) to the Caribbean, out of Port Canaveral.
