September 11 Terrorist Attacks

On this day in 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked four passenger jets. The terrorists crashed two of the planes into the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center and one into the Pentagon. The fourth hijacked plane - United flight 93 - crashed in Pennsylvania after the passengers tried to reclaim control of the airplane from the hijackers.
