“In the bleakest of business times, in this year of the pandemic, they picked me!”
By all accounts, the ambitious business people are busy pivoting and persevering. I understand how challenging it is to stay poised and positive in a pandemic. Fear and uncertainty dampen tenacity. It would be so easy to expect and accept less.
Aiming lower and achieving our mark is not as fulfilling – emotionally or financially.
We all awaken each day, and have to make a conscious choice to see the sun rise or the cloud cover. I believe we set the day’s path and the Law of Attraction manifest. The results are predestined. While we may not be able to change the weather yet, we can change how we weather it.
Believing good things are just around the corner keeps my spirit up. Conversational positivity shines in my phone calls, emails, posts, texts and teleseminars. I make a concerted effort to smile on camera, walks, runs and rides. I’m far from positive perfection but, like Avis, I try harder.
When I see (or hear) a frown, it does not dampen my resolve. I feel a certain responsibility to be a real beacon – not a real bummer. The ripple effect happens at work and play. Fear is highly contagious. Happiness is too.
I am fully vested in finishing my first Ironman 70.3 on October 3rd. Remaining steadfast that I will cross the finish line healthy and happy is what fuels my daily training regimen. Negative thoughts, aka. doubts, would undermine my resolve and the results.
In my business world, passionate perseverance has just paid off! For years, I yearned to be a speaker at a certain world-class conference. Every year I’d get the ‘no’. Every year, I expressed gratitude for the consideration. Every year, I resolved to remain less hopeless and more hope-filled.
In the bleakest of business times, in this year of the pandemic, they picked me! (I refrained from saying ‘finally picked’ because all things happen just when they are supposed to happen). When you hang in there believing the ‘yes’ will come, there’s a higher chance it will. I put myself in opportunity’s way. Are you?
Today’s path has been set and the Law of Attraction is manifesting as we speak. What was your choice this morning? Did you climb or leap out of bed? To quote my friend and mentor, Mike Marchev, is it a T.G.I.T. (Thank God It’s Today) day?
Before you answer the call, type an email or post on social, remember that we’re all watching. Conversational positivity is a responsibility, if your desire is to get the ‘yes’ even when the odds seem low. Good things are received when good things are given.
Can you achieve it if you believe it? I say ‘yes’. Need the best purpose to pivot? Help Wanted: The world is seeking a million new beacons right now. Can I get the ‘yes’?
